The official currency throughout the country is the Serbian Dinar (RSD). Most shops, restaurants, and gas stations accept domestic and international payment cards (Visa, Mastercard). However, we recommend always carrying a small amount of cash for minor purchases, street vendors, and local markets.
OPENING HOURS
Most shops, supermarkets, and shopping centers in the city operate daily, usually until 9:00 PM or 10:00 PM. Banks, post offices, and public institutions have shorter working hours: they operate reduced hours on Saturdays and are generally closed on Sundays. Popular hospitality venues often remain open until midnight or later on weekends.

Tipping in restaurants and cafes is strictly an expression of your satisfaction with the service provided. Tipping is not obligatory, and no one will mind if you choose not to leave one. However, if you are pleased with your server and the service, rounding up the bill or leaving around 10% is customary as a small gesture of appreciation.
