Palić is much more than a lake—it is a unique blend of nature, cultural heritage, and active leisure. The Nature Park encompasses Lake Palić and part of the Palić settlement, with its crowning jewel being the Great Park (Veliki park), established in 1840 as one of the oldest and most beautiful park complexes in Serbia.

Centuries-old trees, rich flora and fauna, and a unique landscape layout designed in the Neo-Baroque style create an ambiance that has captivated visitors for nearly two centuries. Positioned along the eastern avian migration route, Palić is home to over 200 bird species, 176 of which are strictly protected. Of special significance are the famous Bird Islands—the only nesting site of the Mediterranean gull in Serbia—while the lake and its surrounding wetland habitats support numerous bird species, amphibians, and otters.

Lakeside walking trails, cycling routes, sailing, rowing, sports courts, and recreational zones offer endless opportunities for an active outdoor getaway. Visitors can also enjoy a seamless blend of nature and culture, framed by the Secessionist architectural gems dotting the shoreline and Palić Zoo, which functions as a true arboretum with over 270 species of trees and shrubs.

Palić is a place to slow down, take a deep breath, and savor every moment—whether you are a sports enthusiast, nature lover, photographer, or simply seeking a peaceful retreat from daily life.
