This is a multi-day ceremony marking September 1st, the date when Subotica gained the status of a “free royal city” from Empress Maria Theresa in 1779.

The program includes a formal session of the City Assembly, the presentation of the “Honorary Citizen” and “Pro Urbe” awards, as well as numerous cultural, sports, and entertainment events.
